Meet your therapist

I’m Josie, mum of 3 birth children & 2 stepchildren. I love being outside in nature and being by the seaside. I also adore a good crime drama.

I believe that you are the expert on you and that your potential starts with a niggle and knowing that things could be different. That life could be different! And then being brave enough to take that first step, sometimes literally!

I work with various presentations, including but not limited to anxiety, depression & stress.

Credentials:

I’m a qualified Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner and Personal Development Coach, specialising in female mental health and wellbeing.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Solution Focused Therapy & Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and a Level 5 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring with the Institute of Leadership and Management - ILM.

Also have a BA Hons in Education Studies and PGCE in Primary Education.

I am an accredited senior member of the ACCPH, the independent professional body and register for counsellors, coaches, psychotherapists and hypnotherapists.

Experience:

I originally trained as a primary school teacher before changing direction to work in welfare and mental health services. I have been working therapeutically using the solution-focused brief therapy approach since 2004.

I have gained extensive hands-on experience from working with women and children within the charity and education sector and participating in some amazing projects.

I have been running my private therapy and coaching practice since 2016, working with clients online and face-to-face worldwide.

Currently, I offer therapy sessions alongside my work as a Parenting Practitioner for the Charity Action for Children.
